The horde of Messiah lemmings
My comment on Alaska’s Muslims Avoid Conflict (August, 2005). Humankind has at last evolved it’s perfection of one category of tools to the ultimate conclusion: theoretically, anyone can now destroy everyone. More and more of us, feeling as if trapped inside a riptide current of lemmings, are getting more and more desperate as the edge of the cliff approaches. Such desperation breeds the ultimate conundrum in this dark dilemma of our own makings--a locust like epidemic of self-appointed Messiah’s.
We have no choice now, we must figure out how to trust each other--or else. This is why the top ruler among muslims is to be called the Caliphate which means one who is trustworthy, or the trust of G-d. Trustful leadership not dominating or deceptive rulership--the only path to lasting peace.
Is Alaska Humanity News part of this problem or part of the solution? Is it trustworthy? I’ve challenged this newspaper to an independent arbitration whether their article on muslims in Anchorage was dishonest? I, at least, was intentionally misquoted and I claim the story as a whole was in no way a fair reflection of the information it had acquired. Do they take pride in their integrity, enough to admit a wrong and make it right?

It is extraordinary that seemingly decent people would turn against each other, but this does happen relatively frequently. All we can do in such situations is strive to retain our humility in the face of injustice, and not succumb to desperation. The article in question was carefully checked for accuracy. —Editor
