Organizations we support

Amnesty International

Amnesty International (AI) is a worldwide grassroots activist organization whose more than one million members are dedicated to freeing prisoners of conscience, ending torture, political killings and “disappearances,” and abolishing the death penalty throughout the world.

AI is independent of any government, political ideology, economic interest or religion. It does not support or oppose any government or political system, nor does it support or oppose the views of the victims whose rights it seeks to protect. It is concerned solely with the impartial protection of human rights.

Current Campaigns include:

Crisis in Sudan
Over 70,000 people are believed to have lost their lives since the conflict in Darfur, Sudan erupted in February 2003. Over 1.5 million civilians have been internally displaced by the conflict and 200,000 have sought refuge in neighboring Chad.

Stop Violence Against Women
Every day, women and girls around the world are threatened, beaten, raped, mutilated and killed with impunity. It’s time to recognize that violence against women is a global human rights scandal that affects us all. Across the world, Amnesty International members will unite to work towards making women’s human rights a reality.
